Kappa is our newest design constructed in faux leather and accented by a chrome trim. It is a definitive center of attention in any room. The seat and backrest are both contoured to provide premium comfort and support. This is due to the added padding beneath the soft faux leather surface. The kappa is a contemporary design with a retro flair making it suitable for the bar area, kitchen, breakfast nook, Gaming area or any other atmosphere. The kappa also includes a footrest crafted from chrome plated tubular steel and a sturdy base with rubber protection for your floor. Each barstool can swivel 360 degrees and comes complete with an adjustable gas lift tested to operate at least 100,000 times! measures 18" wide by 18" deep. The backrest rises 8" above the seat Height. The footrest measures 12" wide and the base has a 15" diameter. The seat Height adjusts from 21.25" to 29" in Height. Very cool design, but cheaply made. Lightweight, so they are easy to move, yet they are still sturdy. The "chrome" lining on the cushions is NOT chrome, but a type of plastic tape. I question how long these will hold up with everyday use.Update: These are indeed cheap. I venture to say they won't last long. If you're a college student and want something for your apartment, these are probably ok, but if you have a nice house and want something nice, don't bother with these. I have already replaced mine with something nicer, more sturdy, better built (and of course much more expensive, but again, you get what you pay for). Wish I hadn't wasted $270 on these.
