If METANARRATIVE saw Claro Intelecto moving more into 4/4 territory, WAREHOUSE SESSIONS shows him colonizing it fully. The beats here and thick, peak hour bangers, right from the opener, "Thieves." "New Dawn" chugs a little slower, and "Trial And Error" brings some digital blippery into the mix. Even the cooler "Signals," which harkens back to earlier work, has a more prominent beat, as does "X" which bears traces of dub techno in its background. True to the album name, these tracks were meant to be played in a big warehouse, where the bass can boom off the walls and right into your feet. Still, there's enough melody for them to work outside of a club too, like the jazzy piano on "Post" or the metallic bell tones of "Momento." An album that travels well.
