Edited: I have had this fan for almost 2 years now and still rate it 5 stars. Now I want all my fans to operate like this, where I can control a schedule via an app on my phone. It is much nicer to do this way. Beautiful fan.The motor on this is much smaller, and likely more efficient, than my old fan. The blades are also wider and longer which increases the air flow. I put a picture of my old fan to compare with the new. I live in Texas so fans are essential. This one puts out good air and the light is bright enough. I had an electrician install this but only because of the height of the ceiling (19'). It seemed relatively simple to install and I like that the remote was already paired. For a fan this high, remote control is essential. The reverse function works well which was not so on my previous fan. The best part about the fan is the remote and the app that goes with it. I love the app as you can see what level of brightness the light is and the fan speed. This fan has 6 speeds. The best part of the app though is I can set a schedule. This is important for me as my AC is zoned so I keep the bedrooms cool at night but allow the family room to drift to 80. In the morning, the air needs to be circulated so I programed the fan to start at 7 am and turn off at midnight. That is a very nice touch.
