This Beta adjustable height barstool is now being offered in 4 fabulous colors. Get just the right shade to match that funky lamp or your sleek kitchen or bar. The base and the foot rest are made from chrome plated steel. The Beta barstool is a new higher back version of our classic Alpha barstool. It is a full 10-inch back above the seat and 1 inch wider, that's more than double the Alpha model. The Beta barstool also has a gas lift variable height hydraulic strut allowing you to adjust the height as well as swivel 360 degrees. Constructed of molded ABS wrapped in synthetic leather, each barstool comes complete with chrome foot rest and an adjustable gas lift tested to operate at least 100,000 times. The chrome base is lined underneath with a rubber ring to protect your floor from scratching. I purchased two of these stools based on the description and review of the product. I received them in a timely manner and they were very easy to put together. In a matter of minutes, I had two great looking chairs. I love the so called leather upholstery. They look very cosmopolitan. The reason I gave three stars is due to the size of the chairs. They are mostly adequate for children. The seats are very small and the foot ring is hard to reach. I found them very light in weight and easy to tip over. I will probably keep them for a back up but in the near future will have to consider buying a more expensive and better built set of stools.
