Remote controls can be paired with an unlimited amount of Modern Forms Smart Fans within range, and can operate from up to 100ft away. An optional Bluetooth Remote Control can be purchased separately (Part # F-RCBT-WT). I ordered three of these fans. One of them did not have the required screws and blade caps included.Scott at Light Bulbs Etc was very helpful in getting the missing parts shipped to me in a timely manner.We had it installed on our deck’s cathedral ceiling, so we had to also buy an 60-in down rod. Perfect size for the 16x28 ft area. It is smooth, quiet, very bright with dimming capability, and can run on reverse. We have not tried the app yet or paired the remote. Everyone notices how beautiful it is. It adds a touch of simple elegance to our outdoor living space.Easy to install and beautiful fan. Lots of compliments. Really makes a statement in our room!Looked at windmill fans, but found this one instead...looks great and stable, currently ours hangs 6 feet down with no imbalance
